The school will cater for the growing community in the Northern Coastal Suburb and will focus on providing a welcoming, caring environment where each child’s individual needs are catered for. We have worked closely with the local community in creating the vision for the school. We will establish strong relationships with families and community to ensure the school is well placed to provide a genuine partnership to support every child’s school journey. Creating a culturally responsive, inclusive environment where each child feels safe, welcome and thrives to achieve to their full potential will form the basis of the school’s ethos.
The school will employ staff who aim to nurture trusting relationships, along with using the latest research to employ highly effective teaching practices, having high expectations for all children. The staff will provide engaging, contemporary teaching approaches in a learning environment underpinned by trust, challenge, support and respect. Staff will commit to ongoing professional learning to ensure the very best educational outcomes are achieved for all children.
The school is located on a large site on Cerulean Drive, backing onto Heath Park. The school will have state-of-the-art facilities with a purpose-built Early Childhood, two double storey teaching blocks a dedicated Education Support facility, library and undercover area. Welcome to Eglinton Beach Primary School, where learning is grounded in evidence-based practices. Our approach to literacy and numeracy is driven by rigorous research and proven methodologies. By implementing evidence-based programs, we ensure that every student receives targeted instruction that is effective and tailored to their needs.
From phonics to comprehension strategies, and from foundational math skills to advanced problem-solving techniques, our curriculum is designed to foster deep understanding and mastery.
Our Endorsed Education Support Program serves students from Kindergarten to Year Six with mild to moderate disabilities, offering a tailored teaching and learning approach. Students with a current disability diagnosis may be eligible to enrol in the Endorsed Program.
The Education Support Program is housed primarily in a dedicated teaching block equipped with facilities such as a sensory room, low-stimulus room, life skills room, and areas for on-site therapy sessions. Classrooms are situated in both the primary building and our double-story structures, ensuring small class sizes and a high student-to-staff ratio.
Students enrolled in the Education Support Program benefit from integration and inclusion with their mainstream peers, participating in daily activities such as playtimes and mealtimes, as well as larger school events such as sports carnivals and assemblies.
Our team of specialised teachers and education assistants are trained to support students with disabilities, delivering tailored educational programs that nurture their social, emotional, and academic development. We prioritise communication skills, supporting language development and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices throughout the school grounds.
Every student in the Education Support Program receives a highly individualised education plan developed in collaboration with families, therapy providers, and school staff to ensure seamless coordination between home and school.
At Eglinton Beach Primary School, we are dedicated to forging pathways to success for every student, guided by our vision ‘Together we excel, forward we grow’. For more information on our Education Support Program, please email us.
